Deals Rummy: As the name suggests, this version of rummy allows players to play for a specific number of deals. In the beginning, players are allocated a number of chips. There is one winner that wins all the chips at the end of each deal. So the player with the highest number of chips at the end of the pre-decided number of deals wins the game.

21-Card Rummy or Indian Marriage 

This variant of the game uses 3 card decks and each player is dealt 21 cards. There are three winning combinations in this variant. Players can use value cards along with jokers. These value cards can also be used as substitutes for any other cards, in the same way as jokers. Additionally, if players have a 7, 8 and 9 of Spades, it gives them another 100 points. It is known as a marriage hand. 

Canasta

This variant is quite popular in Spain, where a meld of seven cards of the same rank is called a canasta. There are 4 jokers used in the game, whereas all the 2s in the deck are treated like wild cards. If two players are participating in a game, both players take turns drawing one card from the stockpile and discarding one to the discard pile. The goal is to score more points than your opponent. Points are made by arranging cards in combinations and making as many canastas as possible. 

Gin Rummy 

Gin rummy is played using a standard card deck, between two to four players. The main difference between Gin rummy and Indian rummy is that in Gin rummy players do not lay down their sets and sequences until they are prepared to end the round. If the opposing player has a valid number of sets or points, they will not be counted as points.
